Online seminar entitled “Bioeconomy and biorefineries in the service of the food sector”, 24 October 2022, CETIM.
The technological centre CETIM, as a partner of Project Biovino, organised on the 24th October 2022 an online seminar entitled “Bioeconomy and biorefineries in the service of the food sector”. The registration to the event was free of charge and oral presentations and questions were made by means of a collaborative communication platform.
Apart from presenting Project Biovino to the audience, the objective of the seminar was the dissemination of the multiple valorisation possibilities offered by winery industry wastes. The talks were focused on the production of bioplastics; the extraction of compounds from biomass; and the new biosynthesis pathways for ethanol, xylitol and resveratrol; as well as the description of success stories of two companies from the agri-food and botanic-pharmaceutical sectors, respectively. Speakers from Spain and Portugal took part in the seminar.
